Carrie & Eric's Wedding

I'm so glad that the rain held up for just enough time for Carrie and Eric to see each other for the first time just before their ceremony. We were able to capture some great images outdoors just before the rain came in, and unfortunately it didn't leave. But that didn't stop us or them....we were still able to get some great images throughout the rest of their day.

Their Reception took place in the outdoor tent at Galleria Marchetti. The floral, decor, and lighting was absolutely stunning, elegant and beautiful, which was all provided by The Meetinghouse Companies. Working with Erika from The Meetinghouse makes my day go smoothly, she keeps the "timeline" in check along with keeping all us "vendors" on the same page as the day progresses. Video coverage was from Xpress Video Productions with owner Jeff Goldstein behind the camera. I must say that working together with Erika and Jeff is always a pleasure and fun at the same time.

Photographer of The Year Award

I was nominated by Illinois Meetings & Events Magazine for the "Photographer of The Year" award - 2008, and the great news is... I WON!!!

It was such an honor to be nominated, but winning sure was nice. ( I sound like I won an Oscar). The magazine featured my images, and included a small BIO as well. The award show / party was also a blast!!!

Baby Kristopher

Great friends of mine gave birth to their second baby boy Kristopher, and I thought I would post a few images of him when we met him for the first time.

Connie Chung

I was retained to photograph Connie Chung at a corporate event where she was the key note speaker. She was very interesting, and gave insight to her career as a woman tyring to get ahead in the very male dominant field of news reporting.

Chris Isaak

Another great opportunity provided by my client The Meetinghouse Companies to photograph the Chris Isaack concert in Barrington. Not only was I able to photograph the concert, but I also covered the "meet & greet" before the show, and was able to hand off my camera to Robert (one of The Meetinghouse Companies owner's) to grab a quick photo with Dawn and myself!

Van Halen Concert

I've been following Van Halen from the original DLR Years and have always been a huge fan. So when the boys of VH decided to tour again, I HAD to go, and was able to score some GREAT seats and images.

Working With THE BAND!!!

I got a chance to photograph one of my favorite wedding / event bands Standing Room Only this week at their video promo shoot. They recorded a bunch of songs to use on their web site for clients to check them out. I think this is a great idea rather than just hearing the songs, you can actually see the band in action. They ROCKED!!!
