What a fun couple of hours in the city. I have NEVER captured so many different locations within a 2 block walk. We had a great time and were even able to talk our way onto the "EL" platform to get a few awesome shots with The Trump Hotel in the background, which has a very special meaning since their wedding ceremony and reception are going to be held there next July. Thanks again Karyn & Charles for allowing me to capture such great images of the two of you. I had a blast, and am looking forward to capturing your wedding next year!!!

Carrie & Eric's Wedding

I'm so glad that the rain held up for just enough time for Carrie and Eric to see each other for the first time just before their ceremony. We were able to capture some great images outdoors just before the rain came in, and unfortunately it didn't leave. But that didn't stop us or them....we were still able to get some great images throughout the rest of their day.

Their Reception took place in the outdoor tent at Galleria Marchetti. The floral, decor, and lighting was absolutely stunning, elegant and beautiful, which was all provided by The Meetinghouse Companies. Working with Erika from The Meetinghouse makes my day go smoothly, she keeps the "timeline" in check along with keeping all us "vendors" on the same page as the day progresses. Video coverage was from Xpress Video Productions with owner Jeff Goldstein behind the camera. I must say that working together with Erika and Jeff is always a pleasure and fun at the same time.

Photographer of The Year Award

I was nominated by Illinois Meetings & Events Magazine for the "Photographer of The Year" award - 2008, and the great news is... I WON!!!

It was such an honor to be nominated, but winning sure was nice. ( I sound like I won an Oscar). The magazine featured my images, and included a small BIO as well. The award show / party was also a blast!!!

Baby Kristopher

I was retained to photograph Connie Chung at a corporate event where she was the key note speaker. She was very interesting, and gave insight to her career as a woman tyring to get ahead in the very male dominant field of news reporting.

Another great opportunity provided by my client The Meetinghouse Companies to photograph the Chris Isaack concert in Barrington. Not only was I able to photograph the concert, but I also covered the "meet & greet" before the show, and was able to hand off my camera to Robert (one of The Meetinghouse Companies owner's) to grab a quick photo with Dawn and myself!

I got a chance to photograph one of my favorite wedding / event bands Standing Room Only this week at their video promo shoot. They recorded a bunch of songs to use on their web site for clients to check them out. I think this is a great idea rather than just hearing the songs, you can actually see the band in action. They ROCKED!!!

Golf's Best Tournament

I have had the opportunity to photograph the PGA's Western Open & BMW Championship here in Chicago. Golfing is a great sport, and I try to get out at least once a week when the weather is nice. But to go to Augusta and watch the Master's tournament would be a dream. (and a VERY expensive ticket, like $1500, just to get in) So After my wedding this weekend I'll be in front of the TV watching and wishing like most......but hey, at least it's in HD!

Meghan & Bart's Wedding

My wife Dawn and I were married this past year in St. Pete's Beach Florida. Being in the "wedding biz" I have been blessed with the opportunity to become good friends with a few other "wedding biz vendors" that are now REALLY GREAT friends of mine and now Dawn's as well.

Been There DONE with That!

Some of you may know that I offered Video Services within Promax for almost 6 years. Well times have changed here, and my ENTIRE focus (no pun, really) is Photography. So I was able to unload some great used video equipment this week, and met some really fun people in the process. Check out Nicolas DeGrazia & Daniel Kullman of Bitter Jester Creative They were able to use some of my video gear for their own productions, which include short films, and documentaries. Although they do NOT do wedding work, their short films are worth checking out.
